Steelton, Pennsylvania-February 8, 2020-The Philly Cannons dropped a decision to the York Buccaneers on Saturday 147-130 in an American Basketball Association (ABA) contest. The Cannons were looking to gain some payback against York, but the Bucs continued their win streak over Philadelphia by pulling away from the Cannons in the fourth quarter. “We put together a great effort but ultimately got burnt out at the end,” said Head Coach Andre Rivers, who again was forced into game action due to injuries and player turnover. Khayirr Law’s 41 points led the Cannons, who also placed four (4) other players in double figures. Tyree Tucker contributed 35, while the aforementioned Rivers went for 26. Shawn Williams (21 points) was the other Cannon in double figures. The Cannons now sit at 6-10 on the season, and will face the Philadelphia Raiders on February 29, 2020. The ABA consists of over 150 teams nationwide, and the Cannons compete in the Mid Atlantic Division with the Baltimore Hawks, DC Soul, Hub City Hogs, Pottstown Flames, Virginia Veterans, West Chester Wildcats, York Buccaneers, Richmond Elite, PG Valor, the Fredericksburg Grizzlies, Roanoke Rising Stars, and the West Virginia Warlocks.
